Bio

Hans Fagerström was a Swedish artist and illustrator born on August 29, 1921 in Hagfors.

Fagerström studied at Anders Beckman’s Advertising School in Stockholm 1944 to 1945, and then studied fine art under renowned Swedish painter Waldemar Lorentzon from 1946 to 1947. He was then Lorentzon’s assistant in decorative paintings in Ryssby church in Småland in 1951. Fagerström produced drawings in pencil and small compositions, often with an abstract style, in oil, gouache and pastel. He also produced linocut prints.
