Jacques Zadig was born in Paris in 1930, died in 2023 in Malmö, Son of Swedish sculptor William Zadig.
Zadig was a painter, illustrator and graphic artist. His art was characterised by deep political and social engagement. He created expressive works in response to events such as the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and the Vietnam War, depicting the horrors of war and human suffering.
Zadig was friends with Gerhard Nordström. In October 1970, they organised an exhibition entitled ‘Money or Life’ at the Malmö Museum.
